The Reverend Deborah Ambridge Fisher completed her MDiv at Emmanuel College in Toronto and has been an ordained minister in the United Church of Canada since May 27, 2017.  She came with her husband John and their daughter Emilia to Forest Hill United Church in January of 2018 and they know it was the best thing that ever happened to them!  Rev. Deborah’s hobbies include gardening, sewing (badly but she is working on it), reading and watching Sci-Fi and mystery shows.  If you have an interest in Doctor Who then you have found a soul mate at FHUC.  She believes her life is best when committed to God and spends time daily in prayer and with Scripture.  Her favourite book in the Bible is the Book of Ruth and she feels most connected to the apostle Peter.  They are both goofballs and Jesus loves them anyway.

The Rev. Bob Jones was ordained by the Atlantic United Baptist Convention in 1963. He served Annapolis Valley, NS churched until 1967 when he was enrolled as a Canadian Forces Chaplain. He was assigned to military bases in Greenwood, NS., Whitehorse YT., Lac Ste. Denis, QC., Halifax, NS., Gagetown, NB., Victoria, BC., and Ottawa, ON. He returned to his native New Brunswick in 1990 and spent three years in the Petitcodiac Pastoral charge of the United Church. He was received as a member of the ordained ministry of the United Church of Canada in 1992. He “retired” to Oromocto in 1993 and now resides on Victoria Street in Fredericton. He has since served Fredericton area churches in Kingsley, Birdton, Lincoln, Wilmot United Church in downtown Fredericton, and served as interim minister in Forest Hill United Church for eight months, in addition to part-time chaplaincy at CFB Gagetown. Bob has been married to Johanne since 1962. They have three children: Susan Jones (Pal) Living in Edmonton, Elizabeth (Guy) living in Vancouver, and Ian in Thunder Bay.
